Xavier Aptitude Test 2024, or XAT-2024, is a prestigious national-level management entrance examination in India. XAT serves as a gateway to various leading business schools and management programs across the country. It typically consists of sections assessing Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness, with a unique focus on Decision Making. Known for its challenging nature, XAT-2024 evaluates a candidate’s aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills. It also includes a mandatory essay writing section. XAT-2024 offers aspirants a chance to showcase their potential and secure admission to esteemed management institutions, making it a significant and highly competitive examination in the field of management education.
XAT 2025 Registration Process
Here’s a general outline of the XAT 2025 registration process:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official XAT website.
- Create an Account: If you don’t have an account, create one by providing your basic details.
- Fill Application Form: Complete the online application form with accurate and required information, including personal details, academic qualifications, work experience (if applicable), and test center preferences.
- Upload Documents: Scan and upload required documents such as passport-sized photograph, signature, educational certificates, and proof of work experience (if applicable).
- Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using the available payment methods (credit card, debit card, net banking, etc.).
- Submit Application: Review your application carefully before submitting it.

Application Process
Step 1
If a candidate can’t finish the form in one go, they can save their progress with ‘SAVE AND NEXT.’ It’s advisable to review and edit the application before submitting it. Visually impaired applicants should especially ensure the details are accurate before final submission.​
Step 2
Candidates are strongly recommended to meticulously complete and review the information entered in the online application on their own, as no modifications will be permitted or considered after clicking the ‘FINAL SUBMIT BUTTON’.
Step 3
The candidate’s name, as well as their father’s name, mother’s name, etc., should match the spelling precisely as it appears on their Certificates, Mark sheets, and Identity proof in the application. Any discrepancies or alterations discovered may result in disqualification of the candidate.
Step 4
Candidates should follow the provided guidelines to scan and upload their Photo and Signature.
Step 5
Candidates may now proceed to input their academic and work experience details in the Application Form.
Step 6
Select the Preview Tab to review and confirm the entire application form before making the FINAL SUBMIT.
Step 7
Make necessary adjustments if needed, and click on ‘SUBMIT’ only after thoroughly verifying and ensuring the accuracy of the uploaded photograph, signature, and all other provided details. Please note that once the application form is submitted after payment, applicant details cannot be edited.
Step 8
Choose your preferred XLRI program if you wish to pursue your studies at XLRI, either through XAT or GMAT.

Eligibility Criteria
To complete the XAT application process, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria outlined by XLRI:
Nationality: Indian citizens are eligible to apply for XAT 2024. Additionally, foreign nationals can seek admission based on their GMAT scores.
Graduation: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent of three years from a recognized university, regardless of the discipline.
Minimum Marks: No specific minimum aggregate marks in graduation are required to apply for the XAT 2024 exam.
Age: The XAT 2024 exam does not impose an upper age limit criterion.
Final Year Students: Aspiring candidates in their final year can apply, provided they finish their bachelor’s degree by June 2022 and subsequently submit their scores to their respective colleges.
Number of Attempts: There are no restrictions on the number of times a student can take the XAT exam.
XAT Exam Pattern 2024
As per XAT Exam Pattern 2024, the question paper will be divided into 3 parts having a total of 104 questions. It is extremely important to go through the detailed XAT exam pattern to develop a sound preparation strategy.
- Mode of Exam:Â XAT is conducted in online CBT mode at test centers located across 70+ major cities of India.
- Medium of XAT Exam:Â The test is conducted only in English.
- XAT Exam Duration:Â 210Â minutes (3 hours 30 minutes)- 175 minutes for Part 1, 5 minutes for Part 2, and 30Â minutes for Part 3
- Number of Questions: 101 MCQs, and 3 essay questions (1 to be attempted).
- Number of Sections:Â Part 1 comprises 3 sections- Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation. Part 2 is mock keyboard testing. Part 3Â comprises 2 sections- General Knowledge and Essay Writing.
- XAT Marking Scheme:Â 1 mark awarded for every right answer and 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
